I'm a moron.

I put it in my DVD player and it works. The sound is a little lower than most of my DVDs, but it works. I feel like an idiot. But for some reason, my computer doesn't recognize it or play it.

Try rebooting the PC and see if it recognizes it then.

still crapola media tho, the transfer looked ok, the scan had that one bad spike, and that may have been the best disk in the spindle

The next time I go to Reno (85 miles away), I'll get a better media. For now, I have to use what's available in town.

that generic stuff might be better, ritek G05 has a habit of dying in a few months
