that looks decent for a well used/abused burner with tyg03, the 2.68 pie average especially

wait a minute, the nec burned a better disk than the benq

just slightly and the jitter had a fluke

can't be, I still think the Benq is better but Chewy is the best here,

ps the 1650 only been less then 50 burns ( just let you know)

to compare the 2 scans, keep both open and switch from one to the other, the benq barely edges out the nec with pif's total, a little better with avg, but the nec clobbers the benq with the pie's(almost 3 times better).
again you can't make decisions based on one or 2 burns, unless you have some top of the line blanks that are very consistent.

I would baby the benq 1650 and finish using the nec up.

I just ordered some MCC 004 Verbs I got 50 for $14.As soon as I get them I will post my results I am just not impressed with those TY03's.

Did you use the Qsuite default settings for the verbs. And why don't people use the supported feature for supported discs. If you use the default settings which is Un-Known disc does it still learn it

                      Needed some Christmas decorations!

I thought I would get started making my Christmas decorations early this year. I am not going to tell you the kicker on these but it is whether they play or not. BTW they all burned & verified.

The PX-716A sure likes the Sony/Yudens burning @4X but it sure doesn't like the other crap & it let's you know it.

                        3 very different results-same disc

Verbatim 8X - Burned at 4X with Nero - Made in Taiwan - Scanned at 1EEC

What is causing the spikes in the scans at 5X but not found in 8X or MaxX?

Well I tried the CMC MAG M01.The Benq 1650 did not like them at all 3 discs failed at the end.I also tried it on the NEC 3550A it burned it but it wasn't good enough to trust this media.I am going to take them back and get my money back
