dvd freezes up a lot

i have been advised i am a newbie please advise me type of blank dvd disc to use foe transfers movies i have been useing memorex dvd+-r the finished product keeps freezeing up on me not every time i am useing dvd shrink would someone please advise me what type of dvd blank to use or what name if that makes any difference thank you very much thisc has been going on for almost a year. sl disc4.7gb

Get rid of the Memorex and use only Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden blanks.

Read and implement the Golden Rules of Burning.

I'm so glad I didn't buy them, even if they were only $2 a spindle. The nephew who gave them to me doesn't scan, just burns, watches & thinks they are fine, so I don't think I will break the bad news to him.
