I had higher hopes for the new nec 3570 but it scans very inconsistently,
a few seem ok, most not tho. As always(with nec) they burn great tho
at 8x or below. I saw some 16x burns with the benq 1655 and Yuden T03,
unbelievable! New mod over at cd freaks. He knows how to use all those fancy features of the benqs.
I hear ya,, i'm so up in the air on what my next burner is going to be
i love the NEC's burn quality, but i wish it would booktype SL media
with OEM firmware(i don't like hacked firmware) and scan better like the BenQ does...dunno

I'm going to buy one of those burners soon as I need another good scanner. I will add that as a burner my BenQ DQ60 is a great burner, and has given me my best burns ever. I'm going to do a few more test burns over the weekend and post here: http://forum.digital-digest.com/showthread.php?t=67732 , and from what chewy says may have to scan them with the NEC too.
If you use these forums you will not have to face that...
Long Live Foamy!!!
My burners Nec ND 3550A, Benq DQ60, Liteon SHW P6S, 2 Sony AW_Q170A's (free with my new system) and JLMS XJ-HD S.
BenQ official site now has BCIB f/w for 1655 (also new f/w for 1650). For 1655 I did not see BCGB ... which is what my 1655 came with when I bought it a month ago ... it does says made in "China" ... and I understood that BCGB was first released in China.
Q1: How come on BenQ Official Site it has BCHB and then skips to BCIB?
Q2: Has anyone of you guys installed and tested the BCIB? The reason I ask is because when I downloaded it ... it came up with a "weird" name for the Zipped file ... I am used to seeing their downloads coded as for example "BCIB.zip" ... so!?!?!?
