Help Burning DVDs

I have so far wasted more than 50% of what i have burned so far.

Here is the log which is created. Please help me out.. I am really frustrated.

I believe that with the firmware version G7Z9, your DVD burner should be BenQ 1620. The version G7Z9 firmware is very old, please update to newer version G7V9 from the link below:

ATAPI DVD DD 2X16X4X16 atapi Port 1 ID 0 DMA: Off

You'll hard time burning DVD with DMA off. Please enable DMA following the instruction below:

I thought g7Z9 must be newer than g7v9.. Anyways, i have upgraded it.. Let me see..

How do i enable the DMA?

It's confused you because the letter Z in G7Z9 is supposed to be newer than the letter V in G7V9. AFAIK, according to the information I've learned, G7Z9 is a very old BenQ's firmware and G7V9 is the newest. You can see it yourself from here:

I did post above jmet's guide how to check and enable DMA.

You are right.. V9 is newer than Z9.

Atleast 1st DVD recorded correctly.. Thanks for the help
