That is a great price. I always have good luck with Verbatim but have been only able to find the 16x around here. Bought some at Best Buy a few weeks ago but they were around $20 for 50. I'm gonna order some up! Thanks for the heads up Chewy!

There's a lot of burners sold with factory built computers that can't be flashed to support 16x media, verbatim has quit making the 8x. The TYG02
is better media, but a lot of people need +R.

One of my stand alones only likes the +r, both the burners will take the 8x. The ones I've been getting on made in Taiwan. I haven't had problems with the Verbatim but I know some people don't like them. I also have some Playos that were super cheap I got a while back. I use them every now and then because I have them. An occasional bad burn but for the most part had no trouble. For the money they've been O.K.

Are the Verbatim DL's pretty good media?

You can't get any better than the Verb DL's...top of the heap when it comes to DL media.

Plus I think those quantities would be more than I could use in a lifetime.

Thanks for the info Loco! I haven't done many DL's. Someone gave me some for X-mas and they were Dynex (I'm sure not the best quality by far) and I screwed up a couple the first time I tried to burn the DL's and I think I only had 5. Thought I might try some again with some better quality discs.

I like to stock up but OMG, that's a little more stocking up then I need.

you'll just need to upgrade your burner and get a few of these

Now that looks nice, a bit pricey, but nice. I wonder if they work as fast as a "matter of minutes" really. Maybe if I'm good Santa will bring me one for X-mas! lol

Would be nice, but again I would have no use for one....maybe a pirate would.
