Playback of commercial movies on Blu-ray Disc (BD-ROM) requires additional software/hardware not included with this product
unbelivable - for that amount of dough they can't throw in the viewing software??!?

even if I can burn 50gb of one long Cnese movie in it, it is still only 2x for 50GB

let say 2x for 4GB is about 20minutes ( assumming), 50GB would take 250 minutes= 6 hours and ten minutes

who the hell would pay that much for something like this? unless you are rich it's ridiculous. dvd players started at what, $1000 and now i've seen them as low as $19. NEVER buy new technology when it is first put on the market!

This is called creating a positive cash flow or BS. I guess they figured, how much money has been lost in the past due to Sony burners, Sony blank media and other Sony digital products and how much they need to price the Blu-Ray cr-p to make up these loses. Based on the jacked up prices, Sony must not have very much faith in their own products.
Now they're upset because of their own greed? Choke on Blu-Ray Sony.

Didn't look at that one! A bad burn would really make you at that price. That would be one really expensive coaster!!
