Philips Blank Media DVD-R or +R

I see Philips has entered the market with blank media. Has anyone tried them out and how were they. Any idea of the media ID??

    Thanks,

I haven't tried the Philips +R disc, but the 16x -R, are the worst disc by far that I have ever used. I bought 50 of them and had ten straight that would not play and still have 40 of them laying around for the trashman. I posted some of the scans I made of them if you want to check them out.

I recently got some cheap Ridisc +RW.
The media code is 'Philips 041'.
I haven't had them long, but they seem to work fine - so far no problems.

those 16x dvd-r's are pretty crappy

but with the right firmware they might work

use bsoy stock from here to flash your drive
