    a few things for sure

CdRomPeripheral : DVDRW IDE1108 atapi Port 1 ID 0 DMA: Off
you need to fix the DMA

Disc Manufacturer ID: AML, Media Type ID: 002,
"landfill material" grade media. you need some quality discs to get good burns.

also found this regarding that drive

I got my primary changed but under secondary it says current transfer mode pio mode, the dvds arent that bad i use to use them all the time. I'm having problems getting them to start burning. Is there any way roxizap.exe could of messed it up. Last night i did a clean install of nero by using the general clean up tool and then i started to burn a cd and it came out fine. But then after i restarted i went to burn another and got that error.

go to downloads on left side of page

you might give it a go?

but it would be better to just get a name brand new burner, but then you have little to lose by trying to upgrade that old drive.

those generic btc drives are crap
