    Using different dvd cds

Hi, Well I successfully burned my first movie It works fine so i bought more dvd cds. The one i used for my first one was DVD-RW. This time i bought DVD+R. And it did not work. It started burning and at about 13% it stopped with an error... Does using different cds require different settings? I'm returing these and buying more of the same kind i used for the first one, imation dvd-rw. what do u guys think?

    Thanks

    (I'm a newbie)

What kind of error was it? What programs are you using ? If you could post the log someone might be able to give you a little more insight. Personally I like the Verbatim disc, I don't think imation are the greatest.

            goten,
nero saves the logs for you, if you had taken a little time with LT's link you would have seen that.

Imitation DVD's are junk!! and i wouldn't use "RW's" either some older
              stand alones don't play them.

do a search on "media" and see what people are using.

              I use TY's,Verbs, "MIJ" Sony +'s and "MIJ" Fuji's.

use good media and burn at 4x-8x

oo but the problem with dvd+r is that if there is an error i can't completly erase the dvd.. its just like wasting a cd that doesn't work isn't it?

Play stations have picky Drives,,it must see something it likes
                    in the imitations.

if your Sony's are not + x8's "MIJ" there lower quality discs
