    DVD-R 8x 4,7gb disc question

    Hi ... I have a bunch of these disc dvd-r 8x 4.7gb , My question is will I still be able to use ( burn )these disc with the new burners that are now out ? I mean they are now 16x burners, Do I need to have 16x dvd +/-rw/r types disc to work with the new burners ? Can someone explain this to me , Much appreciated , Thanks

    Definitely. You can use the new and fast burner to burn media within the speed designed for that type of media. However, you can't expect the old, low speed burner to burn faster than the speed it is built for

      Hi ... Thanks for your response , All I care is that I can still burn these 8x dvd disc with a 16x burner , I don't care how fast it burns , just as long as it does burn is good enough for me , Thanks
