    Invalid DVD

    Sorry, total newb to burning..

After reading and wasting quite a few dvds, my pride has broken and I have
    to result to asking..

First off, I have a memorex 16x burner and using memorex dvds.. I use them to record stuff off of the tv.. So I know the work.. Also bought new ones to make sure my others are not bad.

Now, I was using decrypter and shrink, then img, now Nero.. I keep getting Invalid DVD in my ILO dvd player and my portable player. But the DVD will play on my computer. Nero also burns them with no errors.. I am lost and out of ideas..

    Could you help me...

    welcome to the forum

well memorex doesn't make anything, they put their name on everything

a nero log might give us some clues(a recent one)

using the nero info tool, you can compare different memorex batches
    and see the mid code

      Thanks for the kind remarks...

First off, thaks Chewy for the help..

Here is a pic of my Nero tool info..

I followed the directions exactly as per the thread.. The only thing I had to change was system APSI to Nero APSI.. Even after changing it goes back to system APSI.. If that means anything. But it says Nero is installed and working fine...

Working on the other replies you gave me..

        My apologies, we missed that!

It's a long list I hope you are up to it.

first you are posting cd burns, not dvd burns
        2. your hard drive is jumpered slave, should be master
        3. try to find the last dvd burn log that is giving you problems with the disk

I am coming to a conclusion that Nero is my problem??

So my question is, since it came with my memorex burner, would deleting
            it cause problems??

Thought about using Sonic to burn with instead..

            What do you think??

if nero records w/o errors and the disks play on the computer, I would think it was a compatibility problem with the media you are using, however since we can't get a dvd burn log posted I am only guessing.

Heres what Im going to do Chewy..

Since I cant figure out what a log of a dvd is, I am going to cheat.. I deleted all my log files inside of history log. And then will only burn a movie
next. So the only log in there will be of dvd...LOL

Will post results below in a few....

I got an error while trying to do a burn-at-once option in Nero.. But it gave me a log.. I think this is what you want. I will chose the other option, so it will burn and post the result in the next reply..
