    DVD Burner Problem

Is it possible for a burner to wear down after x amount of uses. The quality of my burns have started to decline. When I try to watch the burned copy. it now skips and jumps around. It use to just happen every now and then but now its becoming more frequent. Is this because my burner is old and just about worn out. Thanks.

Usually your blanks and burn speed, but also your burner, a burn log would give us more clues.

It can be the problem with burning with no so good media. Please try better brands such as Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim. Also test yours burnt DVDs with different DVD players too

        1. what type of media are you using?

        2. how fast are you burning?

I am not exactly sure what kind of media I am using. I buy the hub printables and I can't recall which kind i got. I am only burning at 2x as I have a almost 3 yr old computer. Is there a way for me to tell what kind of media it is?
