NEC 3550A problems, could use a hand.

So I have a brand new 3550A with the latest firmware update from NEC. my problem is that Shrink and Imagetool burn will not recognize the drive. Windows sees it, and DVDFab will use it to rip and but at this point I can not get either of the above 2 programs to recognize the burner to actually make the backup. I am in the IT field and have been making backups for about 2 years succesfully with my older 4X memorex burner so while I am no expert I do have somewhat of a clue Anyway if anyone knows how to fix this let me know. Again Windows sees the drive find as well as DVDFab. Thanks in advance.

thanks will try that out. I have been using the trial nero with imagetool in the past so had no need for the full retail version until now it seems
