Do most DVD burners work with DL discs? I have a big DVD that I want to backup but I think I need a DL to do the job. How do I know if my burner will work???

Only those that specifically list DVD-R DL or DVD+R DL. What brand & model burner do you have?
***EDIT***
Yeah, that'd be quicker!Comment

Great. I used that program and it says it does write to DL. So, do I have to burn with another program or do I just use Shrink like usual?
Sorry I am kinda clueless about this stuff. thanksComment

Do not use DL-R. YOu will just get burn and DVD player compatibility problems.Comment

And make shure you Book-type your +R's to "DVD-ROM",you can do that in
ImgBurn.
and use good media like Verbatim, it's the best DL media hands down!!

Most DL burners will do that automatically with DL+R's nowadays. Even if it doesn't. There are software that can run in the backrgound to do it automatically for you. I use one for my LG burner. My Pioneer can do it automatically.Comment
