Lost Season 2: Failed burns using Nero and Imageburn

Trying to back up my Lost collection. You can't do it on Nero even using R4M, it recodes and then fails to burn. Plan B, I used R4M, Full DVD, FixVTS, DVD Shrink, backed up Movie only, then tried to burn using ImageBurn and it get's 72% done and fails. I don't know how to shrink without using DVD Shrink so that's why I did Plan B how I did it. Don't know how to post my ImageBurn logs.

I've double checked everything and read the guides.

Any ideas?

No problems so far with D1 & D2 using FabDecrypter, PGCEdit (PSL2 Plugin), Shrink, Nero.

I'm betting your ONLY problem is that you're not clearing out ARCCoS with PGCEdit's PSL2 Plugin.

Firmware current...what brand blanks are you using.

A Nero log will show alot more than an Imgburn log...


Nero 6 history log location: Program Files>Ahead>Nero>NeroHistory.txt

Nero 7 history log location: Program Files>Nero>Nero 7>Core>NeroHistory.txt

log of failed burn, any clues?

See attached burn log. Again, I used R4M full movie, decrypter full movie, Fix VTS, DVD Shrink and pulled 1-4 episodes into backup and then tried to burn with Nero 7 and it fails???

I've upgraded my NEC DVD burn driver to most recent, works great and I'm using Verbatim DVD+R media.

"why use shrink?" Because everytime I tried to rip using R4M with "movie only" option I only got the 1st episode. So I pulled the full DVD and then pulled episodes with DVDshrink.

Doesn't FIXvts pull off ARCCoS?

Any idea on how I can use my set up or do I need to use a new tool?

Where are your RipIt4Me logs? How long is each episode? What is the compression % in Dvd Shrink reauthor?

RipIt4Me which uses Dvd Decrypter to rip to your hard drive & FixVts to clean up & then launches Dvd Shrink. You reauthor, create an ISO to burn with ImgBurn.

The log you attached is from a NeroVision session. If that is the correct log - then I don't understand why you use NeroVision to create a DVD.

Movie only in ripit4me is not to be used for episodic discs. It will only pick one episode for you.

okay...

so the last time I used Imageburn it went to 72% burn and failed. Followed the guide on this forum step for step too. Maybe I should try again?

How do I pull R4M logs? Shouldn't I try to pull a Imageburn log to see why it failed?

After I pull the Video TS files into Imageburn it calculates up to 76% full on the media. If it's pulling all 4 episodes each file should fill up the disc to about 96%. The compression is about 70% per episode and takes up about 4.3G

I guess you have those four episodes in different folders and now you are trying to add those 4 different projects to the ImgBurn compilation window. If so - it will not work.

will work with DVD Shrink via the DVD Browser though...and Recode, remake a movie.

ripit4me, full movie, then open with shrink and get rid of extra sound streams and any extras(reauthor mode), turn off DA and aec for testing/quickness,
then use nero burning rom

check the playability of files from the computer at each stage(all 3)

What is DA and aec?

I'm pretty sure I followed the directions that the sticky provides, but I'll keep reading up. I'm about to give up on Lost season 2.

no they're all in the same TS folder.
