    DMA off on SATA HD

    Ok,
    I don't usually check the nero burning log, cause its' something extra to do, time constraints, etc., & all seems to be going well with the ripping/burning/editing... But, I now finally got around to checking a log & found the following;

    DMA off for the Seagate SATA drive?
    DMA off for the 2 Benq 1655s?

    DMA on on IDE channels in dev. manager.

    The Benqs are on a pci adapter card; (I know chewy, you told me to move them back to the ide 2 on the mainboard) guess that would resolve that problem.
    But what about the Seagate?

    Thanks, katz

    I can't help it if your controller card bios is set for raid not ide?

    sata does not use dma, only for pata(ide) drives

      wondered if it was something like that; ok, guess I can rest easy now. I will be moving the burners back to the mainboard.

      Thanks much,
