DVD Shrink burning fails

Hi - can anybody help me out
I've been using DVD shrink for some time now mostly without problems but recently everytime I try to backup a DVD I keep getting burn failures when I put in my media - nearly always straight away. Its rather irritating as you can imagine. Anyone got any ideas?

Yes, I use Nero.
The problem on the burn log seems to be a 'power calibration error' - after which it says 'all writers idle stopping conversion' 'conversion idle stopping reader' 'end dao' and then 'burn process failed at 1x'

Could be your media, could be your burner's firmware, etc...
