I suspect the type of media, but I tried 2 different ones! Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance!

A couple of things pop out in the log. The biggest being your DMA is off on the pioneer writer. See here for how to fix that:

    You are using Dvd Media.....right??

    This worries me the most:

Check your drive connections and make sure the master and slave jumpers are correct. Fix the DMA and try again with a clean new disc. With those error codes and info from this link: http://www.cdr-zone.com/articles/ata...es_page_1.html
Your drive could be on the way out. Look at the information under items 2, 5, 6 for information on this SCSI error.

Keep us posted and welcome to the forums.

        ya

        Hey,
I am newb and have been having troubles burning video to dvd. ( Burner is: Pioneer dvr-105) Tried various programs all would foul at beginning of burn with dumps mentioning "Internal target failure", or "Undocumented error message" depending on the prog used.
(sry im sleepy and it wont copy and paste)
So I checked the IDE's, ASPI and DMA settings aswell as drivers for everything.
Checked the integrity of the media is cmc magnetics.
Finally was about to look into a new burner when i had a "tinker" with Alcohol's options and whatdoyaknow she is burning like a charm.
The offending option seems to be "Fill memory buffer before recording discs" in the Recording section. Having this turned off has fixed it.

        Oh and great forum!
