My twins recently killed my PC and I'm getting to buy a new harddrive and reload the machine from scratch. Anything I need to know during this process that will help me with using the RipIt s/w to backup all the kids Dvd's. I plan on using XP, I have 128MB of Ram. Harddrive size?

You will need at least 512 ram. 1-2GB's of ram is very goooood.
HD-If you are planning a lot of video editing, the bigger the better. Storage is key. A fast processor helps cut down on the time it takes to make DVDs.
If you are going new, go for Dual Core processor.
A good video card is nice for clean play backs on your computer.
I'm sure other member can actually give actual brands and models.
