    Benq 1650

I recently started checking backups from 2-3 years ago made with DVDClone. Neither the nec 6100 or the Lg 5163 could read about 8 disks out of 25. Call.... them my first eight tries.
I also knew there were a few that wouldn't play in my Marantz (10 yrs. old now). Nice machine but lacking in some convenient features.

The Benq 1650 was able to read every disk with no problem. Here is the kicker, media compusa
    A Wednesday machine?

I am Thankful for my 1650.
    Happy Thankgiving All

    coda,
go figure, my benq 1650 reads almost every disk that my nec's won't read,
but my LG 4163 reads a few that even the benq won't.

wonder if it's firmware related, or hardware?

All three drives fw are up to date. Did it once each for the nec and Lg. Twice for the Benq. I've go to tell you, BCIC update seems good.
Both Lg and Benq your suggestion. You...
