    nice to see someone else who shuns the scanning crap!
    I don't necessarily shun it, I like to scan from time to time. I think it's really more for bragging rights than anything...Oh, look at my PIF score.

      Not me. I was wise enough (or maybe just lucky) to have decent discs from day one. My discs from June 2003 still play perfectly. If it plays fine in my players but, not in a cheap player then the player is just crap (most likely have a nasty DVD ROM drive inside like some have).

      I would rather pay for another disc in couple of years (a whole £0.10 to £0.20 per disc) than worry about scanning the discs all the time.

      I haven't had coaster in my life and haven;t had to reburn any discs.
