burn speed changed

I have a Liteon DVDRW SHW160H6S burner it did have burn speeds from 4x to 16X and now for whatever reason it will now only show 6x as the slowest burn speed. I liked burning at 4x I was told it is a deeper burn.

Could someone help me out with this.

that newer liteon burner won't burn slower than 6X on most new blanks

it and and the blanks actually were designed for faster burning and do a better job at 8x or 12x
