    Garfield 2 won't copy

    Hi,

Garfield: A Tail of Two Kittens goes through rip it 4 me and dvd shrink just fine but when I try to copy using copytodvd, I keep getting this error message :

Write has failed at the very beginning of the burning process. Most of the time this is caused by media compatibility. We suggest trying another brand of media. Write error at 1520 (16) - code 04 03 00 [Hardware error].

I tried using a different brand of media but I still ended up with the same error message. What should I do next?

    Thanks,
    Sabrina

    Hello

You may want to try using IMGburn, it free and great for burning your back ups.

The link is in my sig.

Also what kin of media are you using?

You may want to click the Golden rules of buring also in my sig.

Have you ever been able to burn anything with the media you have now?

        Is your firmware updated?

I have never used the software your using to burn with.

        Imgburn is great for burning.

use imgburn to get us some information, stick a blank in(either one) and copy the top part of the right screen into a reply, we should see your burner/firmware and the mid code of the disks.

if it's a sony laptop then

might work, otherwise it's trial and error finding a blank that will work

burn slow(4x) and hope for the best

It's a Toshiba M45 Satellite S169 laptop. I had this same problem with American Haunting and I never got that movie to burn either. It's not the media because I used it a lot in the past year with very few problems.

you might try the other disk, but you may have a bad burner
