    Distorted images on some burns

I've finally decided to make backups of my dvds after my dog ate half of my LOTR disks (if you've ever owned a boxer...literally eaten!). I've got the dvd decryptor, dvd shrink, and ripit4me. I must say these are some excellent programs and ripit4me makes it SO easy!!!!
Anyway, to my point...some of my backups have gone perfectly. There are some that I've had problems with. I'm not sure what it's called but the picture will become "pixelated" and the sound might become distorted a bit too. It's like watching satellite tv during a storm (still get the picture but it's distorted). I've tried using different disks (although I usually buy decent brands) and burning at different speeds.
I have no idea what this problem is even called. I'm not opposed to doing my own research (you learn more), but I don't even know where to begin. What is this and where could I find more info on it?

Thanks for taking the time to respond to my complete noobness...

sounds like a problem I had when I first started. However,it was the labels I was using.

As nightTran said good media, and no labels!

      Welcome to the forums

      good luck

Posting a burn log couldn't hurt.
