max and 16x media don't go together, especially with a usb drive

lower burn speed to 8x and try again

i have a plextor internal drive that has been making my disks skip so that's why I pulled out my external drive. After about 10 or 20 disk it started giving me this error. I just burned with my internal at max and it burned straight through but I don't think it ever got over 8x. Now I am burning with my external at 8x and it's verifying it now. Anyone know why it all of a sudden started erroring out? Thanx!

              Bad media maybe.

Food for thought. Did you know Imgburn picks up were Dvdd left off.As far as the burning part anyway.

What do you mean? Picks up where? You mean software wise...like DvdD isn't being updated anymore but ImgBurn is?

burning at 8x and 10x seems to be working. Is the 8x just because of the Sony Disk's that I'm using?

it is your system + firm ware, 8x > 16x only save 2-3 minutes and may not get good burn

usb is resource intensive, more senstitive to multitasking

lg's are some of the fastest burners, thoso sony disks are good, but not great

be happy 8X works, others reccomend 4x or lower for external burners

one last question though...if I click the verify would that tell me if the disk would skip when I played it? Like I said before, I've found that several of my backup disks skip when I try to play them. Thanks.
