    Burn a jumpy disk

I have a dvd that scans 100% good with nero cd-dvd speed but jumps, stutters and freezes towards final chapters (but only when the whole film has been played).

If I copy this dvd from it's current cheap brand dvd to a good quality dvd one will this eliminate problems, or will they copy over?

you can try this use dvdd/ripit to rip to HD to an iso use VLC and watch it to see if it is stutters or freezes, if not then burn to another disc

Ahh nice thanks, I now think I see why dvdd has file or iso in the mode selection.
Iso if the disk is directly copyable and file if copy protection is present?

is just one to one, but Sony make it diff so you may need ripit for new movie, your is a back up so dvdd to iso is fine
