you would need to download that, extract it, it's in a zip format

boot into safe mode(see sticky in general computing) and then click on the file
and it will update your dvd burner with better support for media

make sure the drive is empty

there's a chance that it won't even accept your drive if it's a different model

the drive should support 16x with those blanks after the firmware flash, make sure you only burn at 4x with that old burner tho

You guys are sooo incredible!!! I am half way through burning the movie with no errors. I think the firmware upgrade was the prob. Totally Awesome!! Thanks more than you know.

When I burn the movies now...instead of the DVD auto running the movie, the DVD opens and there are two folders "Audio VTS" and "Video VTS" folders. What did I do wrong to get it to burn like that instead of running the movie??

Thi is what I had selected:

              Select back up target:
"ISO image file and burn with DVD Decrypter"

I didn't have the HD selected as back up target.

OK, I am burning it now with ImgBurn...this time instead of selecting "Iso image file and burn with DVD Decrypter" I have selected "ISO". Then I am using ImgBurn to burn it. I'll let you know in just a few minutes if there is any differenct.

Yes. I specifically had it saved to my desktop so as to know exactly where & what it was. Are you thinking it's not the Iso file I am loading into Decrypter or ImgBurn to burn? It is a disk icon with the movie title below.

all you have to do is right click from that icon and burn it with imgburn or dvdd to a disc ( do you have dvd burner)

I did it that way too and still 2 files

I have burned many DVDs using these programs and have not had this problem before. I understand what an Iso file is. I just can't figure out why it keeps burning in this format. Yes I have a DVD burner.
