Dual layer discs still at ridiculous prices! Why?

I would burn all dual layer with it if nothing else

one day if I can learn to build one They will fit , I dont burn much DL + 1655 burn DL fine, Pioneer is slow ripper, OK burner with SL so I put back 1640 with the 55

For my two cents,still haven't bothered getting a dl burner.I thought i remembered a couple of u recommending MIJapan only discs.Every Verbatim or Sony disc I have looked at are made in Taiwan or Singapore.

made in japan are some of the best single layer disks, even sony's,
verbatim has used TY from japan also. their verb plant in singapore probably produced some of the best single layer before switching over to dual layer.

In Oz unless u specifically ask for them,Sonys'are usually made in Taiwan even some TDK.Seems Japanese have no allusions to where the best discs are made.No matter what brand I get sent over,DVD-ID shows the majority have a Tygo prefix.
p.s There is some real crap here if u walk in off the street & aren't prepared to pay for it.

Stick with the Verbs bwatson105, is my advice. There are some pretty good deals around lately. The Verb DL disks are terrific too.
