Just wondering is the BenQ 1670 the new upgrade from the 1650?

I cant seem to find the 1650 anywhere. Is that one no longer?

I got the DW1670 all I can say is don't waste your money.The DW1670 does not support WOPC or Solid Burn. I was very lucky and grateful to get the DW1650 from a very nice person here.But if you have been reading NightTrans posts over the past few months he has been saying that the Norwood Micro Burners are rebadged benq 1650s and 1620s and you can crossflash them with BQflasher

If that is the case I will search for ones left.

$60.00 thats out of line my benq didnt cost that much. My BenQ and my Nec didnt cost that much. LOL

Newegg ususally carries the latest model in the line of DVD burners it carries. They have good prices, if ya find a model you like stock up. With the move to 18X and 20X burners 16X burners could be hard to find. The last burner I bought a LiteOn 160P6S, I bought 3 while they were still available

18X and 20X ??? DVD burners??? I never saw one or heard of that never seen dvd media like that either.

So what burner is = to or better then the BenQ 1650 I love this one. I guess I thought with a burner as big of a seller as this one I didnt think it would be gone within a few months. OMG! LOL

newegg has the NEC and LiteOn 18X and the 20X LiteOn. 16X is history

The people that burn at 16X are gonna burn at 18X and 20X with the right media. I've gotten good burns at 16X on MCC004 media. Right now 12X on 8X rated Staples media til I get rid of them all.

I dunno what is the best, never had any brand beside LiteOn, had good luck with them and stuck with them

I guess I am just mad that the one I like is gone. LOL

I will have to find out what the next best is i guess not much else I can do. But hope that the burner I have wont die on me anytime soon.
