i recieved 2 of the benq 1640s .just bare drives is there something else i need to install these software wise? i have cables,ect .what is this qsuite .thanks for any info. .

im getting them put in along with a new 256 mem stick friday.

As suggested by NightTran,get the latest firmware for your drive,if you don't have it already.The latest for DW1640 is BSRB.Here is the link:

ok got 1 installed. firmware is bshp.went to site found new firmware as sug. also seen the qsuite stuff should i get thattoo? also how do i flash this ?dont mean to sound stupid i just dont how . thanks for any help

Have you downloaded bsrb.zip? Inside it you will find BSRB.exe. Extract the exe file to desktop and double click on it.You will be presented with a screen showing your current recorders.Select the BenQ drive and click Upgrade.
