well this might be a little complicated but these kind of errors are hard to track down
your log shows remnants of roxio/easycd and that aspi isn't much better
use add and remove programs for the roxio/easy cd
then run
then kill aspi with
if you haven't done so lately I would uninstall nero, run the clean tool and reinstall
I hope if it's the drive(dell?) it's still under warrantyLast edited by Chewy; 22 Jan 2007, 09:07 AM. -
roxio is even worse about getting corrupt than nero
you shouldn't ever mix roxio and nero software on the same computer
playlists are nice but being able to burn dvd's is even nicer
you could always find the saved lists and back them up?
the other option is clean any filters out that roxio put in the registry, it won't burn without them tho
this gets very complicated quickLast edited by Chewy; 22 Jan 2007, 12:30 PM.Comment

Yes, I agree
Definately better to be able to burn dvd's... what is the best music player and recorder, nero? I know nero burns but can u use it to also just play music from your pc? Roxio does have problems, I have had to uninstall and reinstall it a few times, when player would freeze up. Thanks.. .Comment

Help again plz, uninstalled Roxio, Burn failed, log attached
Hello, would appreciate it if someone would look at the attached nero log. I uninstalled Roxio but didn't know what to do with the 2nd link above... Thanks againAttached FilesComment

you just clink on the killaspi.bat and it removes adaptec's aspi from your computer
nero has it's own aspi and xp doesn't need one
might try a burn with imgburn to see if your burner is still any good, seeing a lot of those LG/dell? burners dieComment

I'm sorry, I don't know where to find killaspi. This link takes me to a non-executable file. I searched for aspi on pc and came up with a lot of results but I dont see anything about killing the process.. Thanks.. this is the link i'm using from above, in the forum.. Thanks again for all your support

That worked.. but
When i clicked the link from here it opened like a text file, but saving to desktop was what i needed to do. Thanks! I had 1 successful Nero burn after this update, then 1 burn fail. I used IMGburn, had a successful burn. I wish it was dependable and worked every time.Comment
