even the earlier versions of the firmware were good or great with premium +R media

thank you for the advice chewy and soup, much obliged, cant wait for the Ty's to get here, got some -r and some +r on the way. any advice on what firmware to go with? wait a while for some results since the burner is newer?

burn a few dvd-r ty's and then upgrade, they kept working on the dash R problem for quite some time
