hit a brick wall with ripit4me

Noob here so please go easy on me. I have been using 1-Click Mode ripit4me version 1.7.0.0, with latest DVD decryptor 3.5.4, latest DVD Shrink 3.2x and I use DVD Decryptor to burn the ISO file to a DVD Burner. I've had no issues with this process until now.

I now want to backup Casino Royale and my research of other threads says that ripit4me will work?? I have tried 6 times already with no luck. I can watch the movie with DVD Shirnk from my hard drive, I can watch the movie on my laptop computer but can not watch the DVD on my home DVD Player. Even tried the Region Free option. I am at a total total loss. Help.

So are you saying that RipIt4Me did rip the movie and your problem is with the burned backup?

Can you post any logs about the rip??

What is the make and type of the player??

Does the DVD play on any other standalone??

Are you using the default settings of RI4M?? (Jump to menu included)

Diaylsis1 - I would have to say Yes. It appears my home dvd player doesnt accept the disc. It just gives an error my screen. All my other copies work fine on my Home DVD.

GaryD - Here is my Ripit4Me.log. I use all the default settings for Ripit4me except for 'Include VIDEO_TS is checked'. I am not sure why.

Hi Blutach - I have read all of Golded Rules. I have about 20 successful copies before I met my nemesis -Casino royale and Departed

Do you think there is something wrong with my DVD Decryptor settings I use to burn to Disc? Any special settings? Thank you kindly for your help.

                Media/Burner/firmware/Burning Speed?

You might have a duff batch of disks.

And please don't tell me that you have got CMCs (or whatever) that worked well in the past so they are wonderful. They aren't unless they are Verbatims or Taiyo Yudens.

I am using Maxell DVD-R 4.7 GB Discs/Plextor 708A DVD+R/-R recorder/ 2x burning speed. The DVD copies of Casino R play wonderfully on my laptop. Any ideas?

I really appreciate all the help. Feel free to hit me over the head cause this is a huge learning experience for me.

Try Yudens. And clean your player. See how the disk plays on another standalone.

@bud659 - You might want to check that your DMA is not in PIO mode and if that is OK consider FAQ#17 to speed up your rips. Almost 57 minutes is a loooooong time

You didn't say exactly what issues/error you have when trying to play this disc.

Maybe its the same thing here?

Hi all! I have some updates about my current situation. I took the same DVD of CR that worked on my laptop and played it on my same TV using a different DVD Player and it worked!! Very strange since this is the first time I ever had a playing issue with my DVD Player.

The original DVD Player is a Emerson DVD/CD/MP3 Player. Its about 4-5 years old. I have played all my backup DVDs on it including DaVinci Code. The second DVD Player is a Panasonic DVD Player. This one is about 2 years old. I couldnt believe with my own eyes!

Is this going to be an issue with newly released DVD's and certain DVD players? Is this some sort of security thing.
