    Cant choose speed

I recently borrowed some 8x dvd-r discs from my brother and then bought some of my own.

I used to be able to burn to these discs at 8x 4x or 2x but now the only option is 2x.

I use super dvd creator, why cant i change the speed?

    welcome to the forum

there's a mid code on blanks that tells what speeds for your dvd burner's firmware to use, a brand name doesn't mean much since that company can use different mid codes

noone around uses your program for obvious reasons

will super identify your burner, it's firmware and the blank's mid code?

      thanks for the welcome.

Sorry to sound like a fool but i dont understand what you have said. apart from use a different program.

that brings me to the next point.
cucusoft is another program i have tryed and after it has converted my video file it comes up that theirs a runtime error. Program has requested to close in a unusual way(said something like that) when i click ok it closes

Until we get something going that can give us a log or some concrete information, we might as well use the tarot cards

        check out imgburn and dvddedcrypter

even dvd flick if you are converting avi's

Make sure either of these are in Write Mode, open Dvd Decrypter or ImgBurn insert a blank disc that you use, then copy&paste the info that appears in the right hand window in to a reply post.
