                  ok there is an office max right down the street from my job r all verbs made in same place or is this something i need to check I know the diff between - + but as far as longevity which is better and should i buy 8x 16x

                    also is ther a thread on here on the average life of burns on different media I ask bcause alot of my kids home movies have been burned on memorex and after joining forum and experiencing my issues i have become concerned

                        ok so no surprise to u i'm sure I am once again confused maybe I missunderstood I thought taiwan media was crap and japan was good so I went to officemax at lunch and every spindle out of 200+ verb was made in taiwan I bought 1 spindle +r and 1 -r so I could test my burners as you suggested did I make a mistake buying these made in taiwan verbatim? Please be gentle up until 6 months ago I thought cpu were 4 email and surfing the net

                          verbatim's are some of the only quality disks made in tawain, also are made in India, the 3 companies cmcmag, prodisk and MBI also make blanks for other brands beside verbatim, quality control and the die used is better for verbatim.

                          I have had some bad verbatims and some good cmcmag's tho, there are exceptions to every rule

                            That test you guys illustrated is the nero dvd cd speed test? /disk quality scan? I think I have a diff version of nero than the one referred to in blutach's sticky because my menu is not the same
