your firmware for your dvd burner is extremely old, what's the make and model of your laptop?

    Is it still under warranty?

Your nero is out of date and dma for the drive is off

thread transfered to blank media and burning

Am not sold by all these talks about firm ware update and older equipment etc.

If it's firm ware and equipemnt issues, why the burning were running perfectly first, and suddenly starting to trash disks consistently and still writing without problem occassionally? Sometime rebooting the system would help, but how can one get the system to function as first installation/operation? Is there some software setup for log or memory need to flush?!

firmware is one of the first things to try, manufacturers wouldn't put it out if it wasn't needed, of course there are other important factors

but if a drive is failing, nothing helps?
