DVDrw doesnt recognise blank disks

Hi, Recently when backing up, when I get to the stage of using nero to burn the disc, I get a popup message saying DVDRW LH-18A1H : waiting for disc.
This is with a blank DVD-r in the drive. I tried other media etc but it doesnt recognise anyhting. I had to re-boot the pc and then it works, with the disc it couldnt previously recognise.

Anyone offer any ideas ?

Problems like this are usually associated with poorly configured computers,
too many programs running, windoze gets confused, conflicts.

Run "lean and mean"
