How long do DVD+RW discs usually last?

Been burning on the same couple of dvd+rw's for some time now. Just wondering about how many burns can you get on one disc? Hope not the drive going out or need to update firmware.

i have hundreds of burns on my 3 yr old memorex's. still 100% problem free.
