    Good or Bad Burn?

    Hey

When I watch this burn it is terrible. What I'm trying to determine is what is bad. The burn, the disc or the DVD player. I've had lots of failures recently (I only use verbs) and even my old burns are pixalating. Had to reburn Alladin recently for the boy-

Here (along w/ the attachement) is a recent unwatchable failure. Let me know what you think.

It's a cheap mirco advantage - that's all I know. When I tried to update the firmwear I was no longer able to read my handy cam micro dvd's so I reverted back to the original set up. This was some time ago.

Did the burn look ok? I don;t know how to interpret that information.

              Thanks

check the burns on the dvd burner for playability, from the scandisk that you did it looks fine, the quality scan did not test for the bottom part, but the top part tells us that you either scanned too fast or burned too fast, or both

I suspect your dvd player is dirty or getting worn out

                    1. have you checked the burns in another player? one that's known to work good?

do a disk transfer test and post it, save as a png and attach

I wish I could - my other players are sony which are -R and never really took good to burned disks.

I've been using a cheap memorex as my burn player and it prefers +R.

the drive and firmware are at least 2 years old

dvd+r's bitsett to rom are usually the most playable burns

I've had lots of failures recently
I am having zero problems even with imation disks
