burner not burning

not sure where to ask this but maybe someone can help!!
i go to burn some dvd files, it says its burning and completes sucessfully-- but there's nothing on the disk????
my dvd burner shows up in my computer and i updated the firmware, but it did the same thing before updating, so i have no idea where to go now, anyone have any idea's-- thanks for any help

might have test enabled in whatever???? software you are using
