Problems Burning with Nero 6 OEM

I have used the program many many time before and had lots of success. Lately though the DVD will go through the burn process, tell me that the DVD has burned successfully- but when I play the DVD it gets stuck in parts with pauses that the player cannot get through... it will not play the entire DVD. I have used several different types of discs and tried the disc on different players. Why is it telling me it has burned successfully, when it hasn't? Here are the error codes I get: (or part of it- I had to shorten it for this post)

see fix your dma, it's off and for that old of a computer, probably the straw that broke the camel's back

    interesting burner

    rare or very new?

try burning slower and use better media when you get the dma fixed, ytou really don't have enough ram to drive that fast

Okay, I will check that out. Thank you so much. The burner is not new, I have come to find that it is just rare. I am going to try to follow the instructions that you forwarded to me. I will be in touch on how it goes.

      Thanks again!

        still having troubles...

Okay, so I fixed my DMA problems that you recommended. But afterward, that still would not allow me to burn successfully. I then went to Nero.com and downloaded an update for Nero 6 (nero vision express 2) and then tried burning. The disc burned successfully! I was sooo excited. I went to check it in my dvd player and it played well until about 56 or 57 minutes when it got hung up again.... the disc won't continue playing- it just freezes at this point, which is what it was doing before.

I saved the "successful" log but I don't know if that can tell you anything- am attaching it to this post. I am desperate for help!!

Please, can you tell me anything?

like I said lower your burn speed, 16x is way too fast for that media and burner

on the last try, I did lower it. I set it at 2x... or at least that is what I thought I did.

                Burn process failed at 16x (22,160 KB/s)
I used vision(long ago) to save to the hard drive and then burn manually

had a little luck with that mid code of blanks, the hp and magnavox ones are horrible,
memorex are better, depending upon the batch, and I burn at 8x or slower

I am sorry, but I don't understand what "little luck with that mid code of blanks," means. Are you referring to the brand of discs that I am using?
                  How do I "burn manually?"

with vision, choose write to hard disk folder

see the guides in this subforum for burning dvd video with nero

your dvd blanks are low quality, inconsistent, they don't burn good

                    CMC.MAG.M01.8

                    this is your mid code
