Atapi Dvd Ls 8x16x8x16???

I am now convinced that I should give up burning .I got on a list at Geeks.com a long time ago to let me know when benq in stock never expecting to get an e-mail.I did for 29.95 an oem DW1655 but,my device manager and nero speed test see it as ATAPI DVD LS 8X16X8X16 ,it's in my old pc so I can't post because it's upstairs and I took out the wireless card to put it in my kids pc.Anyway I burned with the Verb DVD-R16x MCC 03RG20 that I had which had given me not so great results .And it wasn't a bad burn .I burned at 8x with the ATAPI?? and scanned at 8x with my Lite-On LH-20A1H PIE total 31193 max 12 PIF total 422 max 2.Did I get jipped?Is it a BENQ?

what's the firmware? it looks like the oem for sure

yup you have to reflash to the the real benq firm ware

Great you guys know how I struggle with firmware not from manufacturer.I'll copy that scan to flashdrive and post it down here so you can see current firmware.I tried to order 2 but,they only had 1 available.Glad now as the firmware thing is a baddream for me.

Wow they sure make it look easy ,is there a walk through like that for that nec 4570A I was having probs flashing?I will give that a go as soon as I get home tomorrow,will keep you guys informed.
