3 x 500 GB hard drives raided, 5 x instances of ImgBurn, 5 x different files, 4 x Verbatim 16X Dvd-R, 1 x Sony/Yuden Dvd+R, all at 8X. Drives involved: Top Left = SH-S203B, Top Right = DVR-215D, Bottom Left = GSA-H62N, Bottom Right = GSA-H10N, Middle = DW1620. 4 out of 5 completed with the buffers fluctuating on the GSA-H10N & the DW1620. The GSA-H62N stalled at 48%, (could be the drive), had to shut down through Task Manager & attempted a soft restart, wouldn't do it, ended up having to do a hard restart, then the problems started with Windows 7. 2 x self repair starts, 1 x Windows solution attempt & then said to heck with it, restarted & told Windows 7 to start normally. Everything seems to be okay, back to normal. I think 3 would have worked with no problem, I might try 4 leaving out the GSA-H62N, because I am still not certain that this drive didn't cause the problem. I Used the GSA-H62N with the same file as this attempt, which completed with no problem, but it has done this same behaviour once before. I will post the logs in seperate reply posts.
