    Nero "Illegal Disc" error

    Hey guys

I recently did a complete format of my PC, but after reinstalling everything I'm suddenly getting the error mentioned in the title. I'm pretty sure it's because DMA is turned off, but I can't get it turned on. I've followed your guide on the subject but it hasn't helped.

I have 2 HDD's and 1 DVD drive. But since my MB only supports 2 IDE devices, I have my 2 HDD's connected via a PCI card, and my DVD drive on the MB itself. When I go to the Device Manager it shows 2 primary IDE channels and 2 secondary. All 4 says "not applicable" in the current transfer mode. Any ideas?

Here's one of my logs from Nero:

Where did the jraid driver come from? What Mobo do you have?

    Something is wrong there?

I've got a Asus P5K, and I haven't installed any other drivers the the ones from the CD that came with the Mobo. Or... hmm... maybe it's a driver for the PCI card to which my 2 HDDs are connected? Dunno really. But I cant find the original drivers for the card so I had Windows find some automatically.

It's the jmicron controller but what is the exact model number of the Mobo?

Maybe I'm misunderstanding you because english isnt my native language. I've looked at the mobo and it just says P5K. I know there are P5K deluxe versions and so on, but I just have the standard version.

I have now downloaded and installed the new drivers and made sure that it's in IDE mode in the bios, but it still hasn't helped:-/

Turns out it's my burner that's shot. Tried putting it in my mates PC and it didn't work, but his burner worked in mine.

Thanks for the help anyway Chewy
