The MPEG-2 files obtained using Flask and BBMpeg software does not play at all

Hi all,

Here is a explicit description of the current problem:

The MPEG-2 files obtained using Flask and BBMpeg software does not play on any standard video players ( including Media Player ).


Detailed steps:

I am using:
FlaskMpeg ( versions 0.5x and 0.6+ )
- BBMpeg (version 1.24 beta17 and others before this)

After I open a small .vob file
- I set the Global project options to for a SVCD- NTSC or PAL( after all, this is MPEG - 2 based )
- Run/Start conversion
- Set the output propreties for SVCD- NTSC or PAL(manually or using an existing profile)
- Start

Resuls:

The flask.mpg file is created but can not be played. This problem is present for all the MPEG2 files obtained with Flask and BBMpeg plugin.

Additional info:
- the video intermediate file is NOT playeble
- the audio intermediate file is playeble
- mpeg 1 files (including VCD PAL/NTSC ) are playable
- please see the attached messages log

I'll really appreciate any suggestion, that will drive me to a configuration for building those damn mpg2 files.

SuperVideoCD (SVCD) is a MODIFIED version of MPEG2 format. While most players, including Windows Media Player, will happily play standard MPEG2 files, they will not play SVCD files (Software DVD players such as WinDVD WILL play SVCDs)...
