    hello all.........
im using powerdvd xp 4.0 with a 16x dvd rom

once i choose to view the movie or a scene i get a tv out error that says tv out cant be enabled or something. ive surfed around and im pretty sure its macrovision related.
i have tv out on my video card but im not using it. so i have no idea what it could be.
im a total noob when it comes to dvd and santa gave me my first dvdrom and all i want to do is watch a movie.

You should utilize the SEARCH function prior to posting. Many times, a solution can be found easily.

      Take a look at this:
Talk about making your PC-DVD system (ie. your TV-out device) Macrovision-free, for those who needs to connect their TV-output to the VCR (eg. because the TV doesn't have composite/S-Video inputs)

          Try using WinDVD instead...

Also I dont know what macrovision would have to do with it but to find out if that is really the issue try ripping the dvd with smart ripper and chech the box the demacrovision box and then use the open media files or the open dvd files from hard drive opions from power dvd.
              Also try running system diagnostic.

If you have an Nvidia videocard then its a driver problem, try reinstalling or a different version . I found after I installed the 41.09 dets that this problem surfaced it does go away soemtimes after a simple restart but it did show up a few times. 40.72 had no problems like it ,dunno about 42.01. Hope it helps.
