    DVD Playback

I have a Ricoh MP1960A DVD/CD/RW and a nVidia TNT2 M64 graphics card with TV out. I have tried playing dvds using WinDVD, PowerDVD and Cinemaster. No matter what I try I can't get my dvds to play on my monitor or tv.I have tried everything suggested ....updating drivers, using TV Tool,DVD Genie etc, but nothing works.I pesume my dvd player is working as it plays the sample dvds on the WinDVD installation CD.If anyone has any ideas I would bet pleased to hear them.Happy New Year to all

    System Info: Pentium III 933Mhz
    128MB RAM
    40GB Hard Drive
    Ricoh MP1960A DVD/CDR/RW
    nVidia TNT2 M64 Graphic Card
    DirectX 8 installed

Is you software accessing the correct drive?
Check the configuration in the player software.
    Does your drive hang?
Disable DMA in the control panel OR disable Ultra DMA 33 for the DVD in the bios. My system won't run the DVD drive with both enabled. Then again, my playback performance is poor. I'm looking for a way to run with both enabled.
