I have a surround receiver and I'm trying to connect my spdif output from the SB 4.1 digital card. it uses a 3.5 mini jack and i have to set the sb settings to output digital. the input to the receiver is coax (i use only the black, red is not used) but there is no signal when i select coax as input mode.
i followed the instructions on soundblaster.com : http://dmzweb4.europe.creative.com/S...Sxi=3,Case=obj(12543)
but it does not work. i tried playing a dvd with powerdvd like described but still no sound.
Does digital not output normal sounds like mp3 and non digital sound streams?
if somebody has any ideas it would make my day!
