Advice please - starting frmo scratch

    Hi Folks,
I have lived in several places (Canada <R1>, UK <R2> Aus <R4>) where I have legitimately purchased DVDs. My home player is zone free.

I am going to add a DVD ROM to my PC but would like this to be zone free.

I have not bought anything yet. SO, starting from scratch, what would you advice - DVD ROM, Software, BIOS, Settings etc.

    Many Thanks

It must be bd form to answer your own posting but here goes.

I bought a Lite On DVD ROM model 116s. Installed the drive and loaded PowerDVD that came with it.

I then ran the RPCDE-2 program which I down loaded off the internet and then I ran DVD Region Killer V2.7

My DVD is now running region free - many thanks to the guys who wrote and distributed both RPCDE & DVD REgion Killer.
No problem loading or running the software. I can now watch DVDs which I have legitimately purchased.
